IRD recruits

It is possible find employment at IRD as a researcher, engineer or technician by external competitive examination for researchers, and external or internal competitive examination for engineers and technicians, etc.

Mobility

Mobility can take several forms:

  • Internal mobility within IRD
  • Detachment or direct integration
  • Availability of staff

Contractual employment

  • Long term contracts
  • Short term contracts

Voluntary service

The international civil Volunteers are young people aged 18 to 28 who serve for 6 to 24 months.

Direct integration

Direct integration is made possible by law n°2009-972 of 3rd, August 2009, relating to mobility and the professional carrers in the public sector.

"Accueil" (Reception) as a delegation

"Accueil" as a delegation is addressed to university professors and lecturers, who wish to have a discharge of teaching duties so that they can fill research or management positions, such as a Representative of the IRD abroad. For this reason, a contract with their employer is prepared, including financial compensation from IRD making it possible to ensure a replacement for their teaching service.

International civil volunteers

International civil Volunteers are young people from 18 to 28 years old doing payed service for 6 to 24 months. They are given fixed incomes related to their geographical area of employment.

Handicapped people

Handicapped people can become government employees recruited on a one year limited time contract (possibly renewable), then established without having to pass a competitive interview, provided they meet the conditions of aptitude for the exercise of the function.
