Chronicle of the African monsoon
An international coalition of research scientists has been drawing up a chronicle of the African monsoon recorded over three consecutive years. All the climatic parameters, including the factors at work at terrestrial, atmosphere and underwater levels have been the subject of scrupulous recording and subsequent analysis in order to understand and anticipate the sharp swings the West-African climate undergoes, which sometimes have deadly consequences.
