Summary

Since March 2024, four photos of field missions have been displayed on the walls of the French Embassy in Vientiane (Laos) to promote the work and activities of the IRD. Facing the Mahosot Hospital, hundreds of people appreciate the diversity of the Institute's work every day.

Malayan bear (Helarctos malayanus) in one of the reserves of the Free the Bears association, located on the outskirts of Luang Prabang (Laos), which houses bears rescued from the illegal wildlife trade. These animals will form part of a more extensive sampling as part of the ELAOS project.
