In Cambodia, IRD carries out research activities and research training.
Over the last decade, IRD researchers have established numerous links with their local partners. These collaborations meets three objectives to:
1. Provide scientific answers to the challenges of sustainable development
2. Strengthen the development and organization of scientific research
3. Support the growth and productivity of human resources in Cambodia
Since 2020, the IRD Representative Office in Cambodia is housed within the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), in Phnom Penh.
