In partnership with the University of Ghana, this training project aims to develop the skills of students in genomics and bioinformatics at the University's two centres of excellence: the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP) and the West African Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI).

Ongoing projects on massive sequencing of living things and the production of these data require foundations in knowledge and practice in these areas.

Objectives :

  • Provide practical courses to students and researchers from the two centres of excellence in Ghana, Africa, in order to enhance the acquisition and mastery of new analysis tools adapted to complex genomic data.

Partners :

  • University of Ghana - Professor Mickael Ofori and Professor Gordon Awandare
  • IRD - Dr Nicaise Ndam (UMR MERIT) and Romain Guyot (UMR DIADE)
