From November 28 to December 2, 2022, the Winter School of Social Sciences in Pondicherry is organized at UMISARC, the South Asian Studies Center of the University of Pondicherry. This training for students and researchers will be structured around three workshops.
The Winter School of Social Sciences in Pondicherry is a recognized model of training in social science research methods. It involves each year several hundred students and several dozen academics and researchers from all geographical and disciplinary backgrounds.
This international training network will take place from November 28 to December 2 at UMISARC, the South Asian Studies Center of the University of Pondicherry.

The theme of the Winter School 2022 will be "Rethinking Inequality" and will address a wide range of issues. The course will be structured around three intensive, multi-discplinary workshops:
- Spatial and Environmental Inequalities in Indian Cities
- Economic Inequalities and Sustainability
- Interrogating and Telling Inequalities: Youth Anxieties and Aspirations in Today's India
The training projects are organized in partnership with the French Institute of Pondicherry, the University of Pondicherry, the Madras Institute of Development Studies and the Centre for South Asian Studies.
