On June 13, a MoU was signed at the French Embassy in Thailand between IRD and the Division of Tuberculosis of the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand to implement the CapThai research project.

In the presence of the French Ambassador, His Excellency Thierry Mathou, the IRD Representative in Thailand, Dr. Olivier Évrard and the Director of the Tuberculosis Division of the Thai Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Phalin Kamolwat signed a MoU to initiate the CapThai project.

The CapThai project aims to contribute to the eradication of tuberculosis through better detection of patients and the treatment of people living in the same household with a preventive treatment of tuberculosis called TPT. This project is funded by L'Initiative, implemented by Expertise France and a key partner of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
