On April 18 and 19, the training was organized at the Indian Institute of Science, in the framework of the World Bank REWARD project.

Last week, Dr. Gilles Boulet, Hydrologist at IRD, conducted a training workshop at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) on the calculation of crop water requirement and agricultural water use based on different evapotranspiration models established in the FAO-56 model. The training combined lectures in the morning and practical work in the afternoon, with the help of Justin Louis, Environmental Engineer at CEFIRSE/M-TROPICS.

The training was organized within the framework of the World Bank project "REWARD?REjuvenating Watersheds for Agricultural Resilience through innovative Development" led by Prof. Muddu Sekhar, in the Department of Civil Engineering at IISc, and was intended for about twenty people from the Department of Watershed Management of the State of Karnataka (NBSS, UAS, UHS) as well as students from IISc.
